Manage Asset Attachments in the Project Assets Tool
Background
Attachments allow you to store essential documents such as owner and maintenance manuals, warranty certificates, drawings, specifications, and photos directly within an asset record, ensuring teams have consistent access to the right information throughout the asset’s lifecycle while improving efficiency, collaboration, and compliance.
Things to Consider
Users with the granular permissions must access asset attachments from the asset's details page.
Adding Attachments
You can add attachments from your computer or the project's Documents, Drawings, or Photos tools.
Adding an attachment to an Attachment Type automatically adds it to all assets with that type.
Deleting Attachments
Attachments added to an Asset Type in the Project level Assets tool cannot be deleted from an individual Asset.
Attachments added in the Company level Assets tool cannot be deleted in the Project level Assets tool.
Viewing Attachments
You can view attachments added at both the company and project level.
Supported file types open in a viewer in a new tab. If preview is not supported, the file is downloaded automatically.
Attachments added from other Procore tools will always show the most recent version.
