Transition from Models to Model Manager

Deployment Status & Regional Availability

Model Manager, Procore’s next-generation replacement for the Models tool, officially launches in General Availability across the UK and Ireland (UKI) on October 13, 2026, alongside a global Beta for all other regions. Procore Mobile App (iOS/Android) support is also live in Beta as Procore continues to transform 3D model workflows. Stay tuned for additional features in future releases.

Model Manager Beta: Access & Guidelines

  • Registration: Participating companies must sign the Procore Beta Agreement. Once signed, your Procore Administrator will coordinate with your Procore point of contact to enable Model Manager on specific projects. It is not available in Procore Explore.

  • Support & Feedback: Please report critical or breaking issues directly to Procore Customer Support. For general feedback, feature requests, and non-critical issues, contact your dedicated Beta program lead or Procore point of contact.

  • Beta Notice: This feature and its supporting documentation are in active development. Beta services are provided strictly "as is" for evaluation purposes, carry no standard warranties or liability, and are subject to change or discontinuation without notice. For full terms, please refer to the Procore Subscription Services Agreement.

Model Manager is designed to replace the Models tool with repository-driven model federation. While VDC leads and administrators manage model setup, 2D sheet calibration, model snapshots, and viewpoints on the Procore web application, field teams consume 3D models directly on mobile devices to inspect geometry, manage field items, and monitor progress.

Things to Consider

  • Required User Permissions

  • Additional Information:

    • Setup vs. Execution: Creating project models, calibrating 2D sheets, managing Model Snapshots, and extracting assets are performed in the Procore web application. The Procore Mobile App is optimized for jobsite navigation, inspecting object properties, dropping spatial pins, and viewing conditioned model views.

    • Mobile Joysticks & Touch Gestures. Standard touch gestures are available in the Procore Mobile App. For details:

    • Camera Projection Modes: The Procore Mobile App supports Perspective mode. Switching to Orthographic mode is available on the Procore web application only.

    • Cloud Streaming & Offline Viewing: The Procore Mobile App streams 3D models and point cloud data, eliminating the need to store massive files locally. To maintain field continuity in low-connectivity areas (such as basements or remote structures), the system pre-caches the project model on your device before going offline.

    • Parallel Access: The Models tool and Model Manager can coexist during your project's transition window. Projects in the Models tool remain accessible while new projects for Model Manager are provisioned.

    • Document Repository: Project's using Model Manager store files and drawings in the project's document repository (Document Management or Documents/Drawings).
