Import Locations Using Procore Imports or CSV Template

Locations Tool (web) - Beta Access and Feedback

The Locations (Beta) tool is available on Procore Explore. The features and documentation of this tool are subject to change without notice during the course of development.

To access the beta and provide feedback Afficher/Masquer

  • How to access:  

    • Join the web-based Locations Beta program using Procore Explore.

    • Ensure the new Locations (Beta) tool is active on your project.

    • Ensure you have the required user permissions. To learn more, see Permissions.

    • Navigate to your project's Locations tool.
      Note: You can switch between the new Locations tool (web) and the legacy Locations page. Click the vertical ellipses Icon Vertical Ellipsis icon located at the top right corner of the new Locations tool and select the Manage Locations (Legacy) option. The legacy Locations page appears in a new tab.

  • How to provide feedback during beta: Click the vertical ellipses Icon Vertical Ellipsis icon located at the top right corner of the new Locations tool and select the Share Feedback option. Use this option to report bugs or suggest improvements. Your feedback is critical to the final development of this tool.

  • Support: To report issues, contact your Procore point of contact, Beta program lead, or submit a ticket to Procore Customer Support.

You can use the Procore Imports app to self-import your locations hierarchy in bulk to your project's Locations tool. This will add up to six-tiered locations to your project in Procore. If you need to add more tiers, they can be created manually. See What are multi-tiered locations? for additional information.

Things to Consider

  • Required User Permissions
    Note: 'Admin' level permissions on the Project's Admin tool for the Procore Imports application. Granular Permissions are not supported in the Procore Imports application.

  • Additional Information:

    • The Procore Imports feature is only available to computers running Windows 10 or newer. See Install Procore Imports. This import can only be used to add locations. Your import will not edit or delete any existing locations in your project. Procore's multi-tiered locations feature does not integrate with any location-related custom segment segments that you create for Work Breakdown Structure.

    • Importing through the CSV template cannot be undone. Carefully review your data before submitting the import request to Procore.

Prerequisites

Prepare and format your locations for import to Procore. See Prepare Multi-Tiered Locations for Import to the Procore Imports App.

Steps

  1. Navigate to the project's Locations tool.
    The Locations page appears with the List View and Map panes.

  2. Click the Import button on the top right side of the Locations page.

  3. Select Download Procore Imports or Download CSV Template.

  4. Upload locations in bulk from a spreadsheet using the desktop application or the Multi-tiered Locations Import option.
