Adjusting the selection resolution allows you to control the level of detail you interact with when clicking an element in the viewer. You can choose to highlight the entire parent assembly or isolate a specific individual component. This functionality ensures you maintain precise control over the elements you review in both the Object Tree and the Properties panel.

Things to Consider

  • Required User Permissions

  • Additional Information:

    • Changing this setting instantly updates how elements highlight when selected.

    • The First Object setting targets the highest-level object directly below the layer node.

    • The Last Object setting targets the lowest-level individual geometry element.

Prerequisites

  • Federate a Project Model

  • Decide whether your current task requires interacting with parent assemblies or individual geometric components.

Steps

  1. Tap the Procore icon on your device to launch the Procore Mobile app.

  2. Find and tap the project to open.

  3. Tap Model Manager in the My Tools menu.

  4. View a model.

  5. Tap Settings.

  6. Locate the Selection Resolution setting.

  7. Select your preferred level:

    • First Object. Selects the highest-level object below the layer note. Best for checking high-level properties, or when you want to select a whole piece of equipment.

    • Last Object. Selects the lowest-level object (geometry element). Best for granular level conflict analysis, identifying specific materials, or when you want to see the properties of a sub-component. This is the default setting.
