Linking 3D model objects to items from supported Procore tools gives project teams instant access to critical inspections or submittals without having to switch tools or lose context. Links attach directly to 3D objects or components and allow anyone navigating your model to quickly review submittal details or check inspection records tied to the object. Once your items are created in one of the supported Procore tools, you can then link them to your model.
What's the difference between a link & a pin in a model? A link ties an item in a Procore tool directly to a physical 3D model object (like a specific pipe or door). It does not require dropping a spatial pin. A pin ties a record to a specific spatial coordinate (X, Y, Z location) in the model by dropping a visual 3D pin.

Additional Information:
You can link a single item to multiple model objects at the same time using the 'Select Similar' function. For example, you can link a single chair submittal to multiple seats in the model.
You can link multiple items from the same project tool to a single object, but not in one simultaneous action. Each record must be linked to the object in its own separate action. For example, you could link three separate inspections (i.e., electrical, mechanical, and fire/safety) to a single Air Handling Unit.
Create the items you want to link in one of the supported Procore tools.
Follow these steps to add object links to items from supported Procore tools to your model.
Navigate to the Model Manager (Beta) tool.
Open a model.
Select one or multiple objects in the 3D model:
To select one object, right-click it and choose Link to Existing Item from the menu.
To select multiple objects, right-click one object and choose Select Similar to highlight all identical items in the model. Next, right-click again and then choose Link to Existing Item from the menu.
In the Link Items window, select a supported Procore tool in the left pane. A list of corresponding records appear.
Select the specific inspection record to attach. You can only select one (1) record at a time.
Click Next.
In the Details window, enter any optional notes about the model objects you selected as the item link.
When finished, click Link.
Want to unlink an item? If you need to unlink an item at a later time, click Properties in the left toolbar and follow the steps in Unlink Connected BIM Items from a 3D Model.
