Isolate Model Items

Use the Isolate feature to analyze specific model areas, providing a focused perspective on selected clashes or individual model items against the backdrop of the surrounding model. This tool allows you to resize the isolated area, zoom in for details, and add clashes to the section box. You can also add clashes the section box.

Important

To use Procore's Clash Manager for Navisworks®, you must download & install the Procore VDC Plugin and the Procore BIM Plugin on the Windows® computer running your Autodesk® design software. After installation, a Procore tab and a Clash Manager button appear in Autodesk® Navisworks®. For instructions, see Procore BIM Plugins.

Things to Consider

  • Required User Permissions:

    • 'Standard' or 'Admin' level permissions on the project's Coordination Issues tool.

Steps

  1. In the Navisworks® Clash Detective, select the specific clash or clash group you wish to isolate.

  2. Choose an option:

    • Click Isolate in Procore Clash Manager.

    • Right-click the clash in the model and select Isolate items.

    • Select a model item, and choose Isolate from the Item Tools.

  3. Review the Isolated View. The model highlights your selected clash with a 3D bounding box. This details the area and its surroundings.

  4. Work in Isolated View as follows:

    • Move the handles to resize the bounding box.

    • Click Zoom to center your view on the isolated area.

    • Click Save Viewpoint.
