Associate a Model with a Procore Project

Link a Navisworks® model to your Procore project to create, manage, and track its issues. Resolving these issues in Procore saves time and money by reducing future RFIs and change events.

Important

To use Procore's Clash Manager for Navisworks®, you must download & install the Procore VDC Plugin and the Procore BIM Plugin on the Windows® computer running your Autodesk® design software. After installation, a Procore tab and a Clash Manager button appear in Autodesk® Navisworks®. For instructions, see Procore BIM Plugins.

Things to Consider

  • Required User Permissions:

    • 'Admin' level permissions on the Coordination Issues tool.

  • Additional Information Show/Hide

    • A model can link to only one (1) project at a time, but a project can have multiple models.

    • To reassociate a model with a new project, you must first delete all existing coordination issues from it. See Reassociate a Model with a Procore Project.

Steps

  1. Start Autodesk® Navisworks® and open the model to link to a Procore project.

  2. Click the Procore tab.

  3. Open the model you want to associate with a project in Navisworks®.

  4. From any of the Procore tools (e.g., Issues List, Publish, or Settings), click the Procore button. This opens the 'Associate a Model to a Project' panel.

  5. From the drop-down menu, select the appropriate company and Procore project.

  6. Click Submit.
    The Clash Manager tab will then appear in Navisworks®, confirming that the model is successfully associated with the selected Procore project.

     Note

    If the association panel does not appear automatically, click Settings from the Procore tab.
