Orient to the Model

Use the Orient tool to isolate specific objects by hiding surrounding systems. This focused view makes it easier to inspect clashes, share precise locations, and navigate in 3D. You can select single or multiple objects across different models.

To use Procore's Clash Manager for Navisworks®, you must download & install the Procore VDC Plugin and the Procore BIM Plugin on the Windows® computer running your Autodesk® design software. After installation, a Procore tab and a Clash Manager button appear in Autodesk® Navisworks®. For instructions, see Procore BIM Plugins.

Things to Consider

  • Required User Permissions:

    • 'Standard' or 'Admin' level permissions on the project's Coordination Issues tool.

  • Additional settings to customize the tool Show/Hide

    • Visibility: Choose which object sets remain visible during orientation.

    • Direction: Define the 'top' direction for 2D plan views.

    • Cut Plane: Adjust the vertical offset of the Cut Plane

Steps

  1. Do one of the following:

    • Select the object in the model and click Orient from the Clash Manager tab.

    • Right-click the object in the model and select Orient.

  2. To select more than one object, CTRL+click (CMD+click) the objects. More than one model displays.
