Section planes let you cut through a model to view internal details or specific cross-sections of a project. This helps you better understand complex spatial relationships and inspect areas that are otherwise hidden from view.
Follow these steps to add a section plane to surface in the 3D space:
Navigate to the Model Manager (Beta) tool.
Open the federated project model or a model file.
In the right toolbar, click the Section Tools 
icon.

Click a surface to place a section plane. The plane snaps flat to the surface and hides the model in front of it.
When you see the hand icon, you can move the plane to the desired position. 
Further manage the plane by clicking the More (:) icon and choosing a menu option:
Flip Direction. Flip the direction of the plane.
Delete. Remove the plane from the surface.
When finished, click Confirm 
on the toolbar.
