    • How to Access: Participating companies must sign the Procore Beta Agreement. Once signed, your Procore Administrator coordinates with your Procore point of contact to enable Model Manager (Beta) on specific Procore projects.

    • How to report critical issues: Report breaking changes to Procore Customer Support. For general feedback or non-critical issues, contact your Beta program lead or Procore point of contact.


Currently, only Admin permissions are available. Procore will add more permission levels later.

Section planes allow you to cut through a model to view internal details or specific cross-sections of a project. This helps you better understand complex spatial relationships and inspect areas that are otherwise hidden from view.

Steps

Follow these steps to add a section plane to a model:

  1. Navigate to the Model Manager (Beta) tool.

  2. Open a model.

  3. In the right toolbar, click the Sectioning icon and mark the Section Plane check box.

    Tip

    How can you tell when a mode is active and how do you turn it off? When a mode is active, the toolbar icon turns Blue. You can click This image shows the Exit Mode icon in the Right Toolbar of the Viewer in the Model Manager tool.or press ESC to exit the active mode.

  4. Choose from these options:

    • Hover your cursor over a surface in the model to highlight the object in green.

    • Optional. Click and hold a surface in the model to adjust the camera angle.

    • Click the surface to place the plane anchor. Note the arrows point in the direction of the cut.

  5. To adjust the plane, click and hold one of the anchor's Arrows and drag the plane to the desired direction.

  6. Optional. To further manage the plane, click the More (:) icon to access these options:

    1. Show Plane. Display a semi-transparent box in front of the section

    2. Flip Direction. Flip the direction of the cut

    3. Delete. Remove the anchor and plane from the surface.

  7. When finished, click Save and Exit on the toolbar.
