Procore Model Manager - Beta Access & Feedback

The Model Manager (Beta) tool is exclusively available to registered beta participants. It is not available through Procore Explore. To learn more, see Beta Participant Guide.

  • To access the beta and provide feedback Show/Hide Details

    • To register: Participating companies must sign the Procore Beta Agreement. Once signed, your Procore Administrator coordinates with your Procore point of contact to enable Model Manager (Beta) on specific Procore projects.

    • To Provide Feedback During Beta: Contact your dedicated Beta program lead.

    • To report issues: Report breaking changes to Procore Customer Support. For general feedback or non-critical issues, contact your Beta program lead or Procore point of contact.

Mapping 2D drawings to a 3D model allows users to align your PDF drawing sheets directly with 3D geometry for improved spatial accuracy. This process helps project teams visualize 2D plans in a 3D environment to streamline navigation and design review.

Steps

  1. Navigate to the Model Manager (Beta) tool.

  2. Open a model.

  3. Click 2D Sheets.

  4. In the 2D Sheets panel, find the drawing to edit.

  5. Click the drawing tile's More Icon Vertical Ellipsis menu and choose Edit Mapping.

  6. In the Edit Sheets Mapping panel, you can can find the level you want as follows:

    • Search by level name and select the desired match.

    • Selecting an existing level from the list by clicking the > right arrow and select the desired level.

    • Click the Edit Existing Level button. Then, click an element on the model to get the elevation of its top surface or enter a numerical value in the boxes.

    • Click the Define a New Level button to create a new one. If you choose this option you can select an existing level or click the Go to Location link to add, remove, or edit the available locations. Then, click an element on the model to get the elevation of its top surface or enter a numerical value in the boxes. When finished, click Define Level.

  7. Click Next.

  8. In the Edit Sheets Mapping panel, you have these options:

    • Map by model by clicking Edit Model Mapping and the select two reference points on the model.

    • Map drawings by clicking Edit Drawing Mapping and make any changes. When finished click Save.

  9. Click Next.

  10. In the Edit Sheets Mapping panel you can set these options:

    1. Mark the Used Mapped Sheets for 2D Navigation option.

    2. Click the pencil icon if you want to change the level.

  11. When finished, click Save.
