After creating your federated model, you must condition it to transition from a designer’s intent to a builder’s execution tool. This process involves mapping properties, grouping objects, overlaying 2D drawings on the 3D space, and more. Conditioning ensures your field team has access to consistent data across all formats.
Key conditioning actions include:
Adding 2D Overlay (Configuring): In the Next-Gen Viewer, select 2D Overlay to map a drawing to the 3D model. Files are sourced from your project's chose document repository. See Add 2D Overlay to the 3D Model.
Adjusting Object and Layer Visibility:
Users can use the Object Tree to hide or reveal entire files and hierarchical branches, or they can hide and show individual model elements to isolate specific parts of the project. See Adjust Object & Layer Visibility.
Adding Section Planes:
Users can apply dynamic section planes to cut through the model and reveal hidden structures.

Additional conditioning actions will be available in the future.
After conditioning the model using the guidelines above, you can save specific perspectives as Project Views, which makes it easier for field teams to access vital information.
