Updating the status of the project model lets end users know if a project model is active. Because this model streams directly to field teams' mobile devices, keeping its status current ensures collaborators always work with the correct information. The 'Statuses Eligible for Federation' are determined by the Document Management tool's 'Status' fieldset. To learn how to customize them to suit your company's needs, see Edit Custom Fields.

Example

Depending on your company's standard workflow, federation statuses for a project model typically fall into two categories: Active or Inactive. Some examples of statuses you have the option to create include:

  • Active: Issued for Construction (IFC), Live, or Approved

  • Inactive: Work in Progress (WIP), In Review, or Draft/Preliminary

Things to Consider

Prerequisites

Steps

  1. Navigate to the project's Model Manager tool.

  2. Click Icon Settings Gear Grey2 Settings.

  3. Choose from these options:

    1. For first time setup, click the Configure Federation Status button.

    2. For status changes, click the Federation tab. This tab is only visible when using Document Management at the project's repository.

  4. In the Statuses Eligible for Federation window, mark the desired checkboxes.

    Note

The example below shows 'Approved' and 'Approved with Comment. However, you can customize the options that appear in 'Statuses Eligible for Federation' window by modifying the Document Management tool's 'Status' fieldset. For instructions, see Edit Custom Fields and What are custom fields and which Procore tools support them?

This shows the Statuses Eligible for Federation card in the Federation tab of the Configure Settings page in the Model Manager tool.

  5. Click Confirm.
