Viewpoints allow you to save specific camera positions, layers, and visual settings within a model. Creating viewpoints helps you quickly navigate to important areas of the project and share specific perspectives with your team.

Tip

What's the difference between a viewpoint and a project view? A viewpoint is as a spatial bookmark for a specific camera angle, while a project view is a comprehensive saved state that combines that camera position with specific data filters and layer visibility settings. Admins can add project views to the Model Manager (Beta) landing page to ensure teams always access the exact model configuration required for their specific need.

Things to Consider

Prerequisites

Steps

  1. Navigate to the Model Manager (Beta) tool.

  2. Open the model.

  3. In the left toolbar, click the Viewpoints icon.

  4. Condition the view as needed. See Condition a Model.

  5. In the Viewpoints window, click the Plus (+) sign and choose an option:

    • To create a single viewpoint, click Create Viewpoint and give it a name.

    • To create a folder to contain multiple viewpoints, click Create Folder and give it a name. Then create a view point in that folder.

Procore adds your new viewpoint to its Viewpoints list.
