When working in a complex 3D environment, quickly identifying the location of specific project items is essential for coordination. This feature allows you to jump directly to items associated with supported Procore tools, such as Coordination Issues or Inspections, within the 3D space. If the model is mapped to 2D drawings, Procore provides additional context by highlighting the item's location on a 2D Minimap.

Prerequisites

Steps

Follow these steps to find a linked or pinned item in the federated scene.

  1. Navigate to the Model Manager (Beta) tool.

  2. Open the federated project model.

  3. Click the Items icon to open the Items panel.

  4. In the Items panel, click one of the supported Procore tools to show that tool's linked or pinned items.

  5. In the list, search for the item.

    • To apply filters, click the filters icon. Each Procore source tool has its own unique item filters.

    • To hide the listed items, click the minus (-) icon at the top of the list.

  6. Click the item's tile to view it in the 3D space. If your model is mapped to a 2D drawing (see Add 2D Overlay to the 3D Model) an arrow points to the location in the 2D Minimap.

  7. Choose from these options to navigate:

    • To jump to the item's pin, click the pin icon on the pin icon on the item's tile.

    • To jump to a linked 2D drawing, click the link icon on the item's tile.

    • To view the item record in the Procore source tool, click the open icon on the item's tile. Your user account must be granted sufficient permissions to the Procore source tool to view the item.
