  • Support & Feedback: Please report critical or breaking issues directly to Procore Customer Support. For general feedback, feature requests, and non-critical issues, contact your dedicated Beta program lead or Procore point of contact.

  • Beta Notice: This feature and its supporting documentation are in active development. Beta services are provided strictly "as is" for evaluation purposes, carry no standard warranties or liability, and are subject to change or discontinuation without notice. For full terms, please refer to the Procore Subscription Services Agreement.

When first creating a federated scene, Admins must permanently choose one repository for the project's 3D models and 2D sheets. Because you cannot mix files between tools, this selection is final for each project. If you choose the Document Management tool, both your models and 2D sheets must come directly from Document Management. Alternatively, if you choose the Documents tool, your models must come from Documents and your 2D sheets from Drawings.

Things to Consider

Prerequisites

Steps

Follow these steps to create a new project model.

  1. Navigate to the project's Model Manager tool.

  2. Because you cannot mix files between repositories, review How does repository selection work in the Model Manager tool? before proceeding with the next step.

  3. Depending on your configuration, choose one (1) repository:

    • Single Repository: If your project has one (1) repository (Document Management or Documents), simply click Create Project Model.

    • Multiple Repositories: If your project has all repositories, click Create from Document Management or Create from Documents. You can only select one (1) and your selection is permanent.
