Pre-Release Documentation

This article documents a planned feature that is not yet available. Release timing is not guaranteed, and functionality described here may change before launch.

Search Sets are pre-defined property queries imported from Autodesk® Navisworks® that allow teams to query model geometry based on element properties (such as Category, Level, System Type, or Material).

In the Model Manager, search sets are created by Admins and organized in a shared Search Set library. When you run a search set, the system evaluates the query rules against all elements loaded in the active scene and applies selection highlights.

Things to Consider

  • Required User Permissions

  • Additional Information:

    • All users with access can view, search, and run search sections. Creation and management (i.e., creating folders, importing, editing, or deleting sets) is restricted to Admins.

    • Running a search set, hiding elements, or isolating geometry affects your current session only. It does not modify the underlying model or view for other users.
