Using different navigation modes allows you to interact with your 3D models efficiently. When using Default mode, you can quickly switch between view behaviors to inspect layout designs or present structural details from a static or mobile camera position.

Things to Consider

Prerequisites

  • When using the Procore Web application, you can optionally connect a mouse with a functional scroll wheel for optimal navigation capability.

Steps

  1. Navigate to the project's Model Manager tool.

  2. View a model.

  3. Click the Navigation Toolbar at the bottom of the viewer.

  4. Click Default to activate the default navigation state or use the keyboard shortcut in the on-screen tooltip. For a complete list of shortcuts, see Keyboard & Mouse.

  5. Choose from these actions to control the camera movements:

    • Look Around: Left-click and drag on the screen to rotate your camera view from a fixed, static position.

    • Zoom: Scroll your mouse wheel forward or backward to move the camera view closer to or further from the model.

    • Pan: Middle-click and drag across the workspace to slide the camera view vertically or horizontally.

    • Orbit Pivot: Right-click and drag on a specific object to orbit the camera directly around that localized focal point.

    • Orbit Center: Right-click and drag on an empty space to rotate the camera around the current center view or your last defined pivot point.
