Model Manager (Beta) unifies fragmented project data into a single source of truth. Admins can combine isolated discipline files into one federated 3D scene directly in Procore. After merging these files, you can begin conditioning the model.
To federate a new project model, use this workflow.
To federate a new project model within the Model Manager, follow these primary phases. This process ensures your 3D assets and 2D drawings are correctly linked and conditioned for project use.
When getting started with the Model Manager (Beta) , you must first upload your source files to your preferred document repository. Your workflow depends on which tool you use:
Option A: Document Management
Upload both your Discipline Files and Drawing Sheets directly to the Document Management tool. See Upload Files to Document Management.
Option B: Documents
Upload Discipline Files to the Documents tool. See Upload Files & Folders to Documents.
Upload Drawing Sheets (for 2D overlay) to the Drawings tool. See Upload Drawing Sheets for 2D Overlay.
Once your files are hosted in the repository, you can begin the federation process:
Create a New Project Model: Initialize the container for your federated data. See Create a New Project Model.
Add Discipline Files: Select and link the specific discipline files from your chosen repository to the new project model. See Add Discipline Files to a New Project Model.
The final step ensures your 2D and 3D data work in harmony:
Add 2D Overlays: Align and attach your 2D drawing sheets to the 3D model to provide spatial context and enhanced navigation for users. See Add Drawings for 2D Overlay.
For additional conditioning options, see Condition a Model.
